When looking for a financial consultant, you want someone who knows what you need. If you want to invest and are looking for someone who can help you with investments, you want someone who knows your comfortable level of risk. And if you want to learn more about insurance, you want someone who understands how much you can pay and how much you need.

It’s the same thing with loans. Finding the right person is especially important when it comes to loans with a quick turnaround, like a seafarer’s loan or an OFW loan. You want someone who’s been there, someone who knows how it feels to be in that unique situation. And fortunately, here at Platinum Creditplus Lending Corp., we’re proud to say we have many in our ranks.

One such story is that of Avelina “Ate Vell” Suerte, our happy and contented Loan Consultant. Ate Vell started her journey with us around 8 years ago, when her brother— who was a seaman—applied for a seaman’s loan with PCLC. At the time, she signed on as his co-borrower and was invited to take and attend some seminars on how to become an agent or loan consultant. “By that time, I needed a job to help my husband with our finances,” she says.

Aside from being a source of income, Ate Vell’s work with PCLC allowed her the opportunity to learn more about finances and the different ways she could improve her current financial situation.

“Working with PCLC… [helped] open and widen my knowledge about money and computing the interest rate correctly,”

she says. “With this, it helped me [improve] my previous financial situation. Before, I [would] spend my money on something or something important without thinking about how much [I need to] keep in my pocket. Now, I know how to do proper budgeting, with a percentage set aside for my savings.”

Bolstered by the stability her work at PCLC gave her, Ate Vell continued to flourish, both financially and career-wise. “I became part of the Top 10 agents, [even became] the Top 1 loan agent for several months,” she shares. And these successes helped motivate her to help those who are struggling financially, too, like seafarer families in need of additional help.

Overall, when asked if being a PCLC Loan Consultant is something Ate Vell would recommend to other people – her answer is a resounding yes. For her, being a Loan Consultant for PCLC is something that goes beyond putting bread on the table. “Being a loan consultant is not just a job that you can be proud of,” says Ate Vell. “It helps you to provide things for yourself and your family, especially [while you] pay the bills and buy needs and wants. You will also have the opportunity to save money for yourself and your family.”
